Insley Products, The Insley Gravity Plant, Catalog No. 42, by Insley Manufacturing Co., Indianapolis, Ind., 1918. 6 x 9 paperback, 95 pages. Please note this is an ORIGINAL, not a reproduction. It is in very good condition. There is some soiling and edgewear to the covers, with a three inch tear along the spine at bottom. The inside pages are clean except for some pencil marks on the front and back pastedowns. The inside pages are printed in a brown ink, giving the entire catalog a pleasing sepia look. The bottom corners are bumped. Insley Products was founded in 1907 by William Henry Insley, and manufactured a variety of construction equipment: Concrete Hoist Buckets Sheave Sets Steel Towers Concrete Receiving Hoppers Concrete Chutes Hopper and Bin Gates Concrete Hand Carts Form Clamps Contractors’ Cars and Buckets Skip Cars Mine Cars Industrial Cars and Track Cableway and Stone Skips Portable Dereck Booms Insley held dozens of patents for cable-operated digging equipment such as dragline excavators and power shovels. Insley lost its independence in 1975 when it was acquired by United Dominion Industries.
