Inspector USB Handheld Digital Radiation Alert® DetectorThe Inspector and Inspector Plus are now The Inspector USB!! The Inspector USB Handheld Digital Radiation Alert® Detector is a small, microprocessor based survey meter which offers excellent sensitivity to low levels of alpha, beta, gamma, x-rays, and built in efficiencies for common isotopes to calculate activity in Bequerels and DPM. The Inspector USB models with serial # between 40000-40823 that we may have them in stock are already re-programed by the factory due to a minor software adjustment. Specifications: Note: The Inspector USB is a new and updated version for the Inspector + Detector Internal Halogen-quenched, uncompensated GM tube with thin mica window, 1.4-2.0 mg/cm2 areal density. Effective diameter of window is 45 mm (1.77 in.). Radiation symbol on front label and end panel marks the center of the detector. Averaging Periods Display updates every 3 seconds. At low background levels, the update is the average for the past 30-second time period. The timed period for the average decreases as the radiation level increases. Audio Indicator Internally mounted beeper (can be switched off for silent operation) Outputs Dual miniature jack drives CMOS or TTL devices and counts to computer or datalogger. USB for use with Observer USB Software for PCs Anti-Saturation Meter will hold at OVER RANGE in fields as high as 100 times the maximum reading.
