The IEC Clinical centrifuge is compact and durable. It can handle a wide variety of routine applications in most laboratories, including water/wastewater labs. The steel guard bowl and hinged cover protect the operator from rapidly moving parts. There are seven speed control settings for repeatability of speeds.  The motor is series wound with a stainless steel shaft. The upper and lower bearings are permanently sealed and self lubricating. The maximum speed without a rotor is 8650 RPM but when a rotor is added, the maximum speed is automatically lowered by the increased load on the motor. For the rotor and shield combination of this sale, the maximum speed is 3350 RPM and the maximum force is 1750 x g. Important features This sale includes the centrifuge, rotor and matched sets of shields, trunnions and cushions as shown in the first picture. The rotor is an IEC 221 free swinging 6 place rotor with six detachable trunnions. It will hold four shields for 40 to 50 ml tubes.  The trunnion rings are a matched set The shields are a matched set of Shields. They support and protect tubes having capacities of 40 to 50 ml. . Also shown in the picture is the Knurled Nut that, when hand tightened, prevents slippage of the shaft in the rotor during operation. 6 ft. 3 wire cord with plug. Overall dimensions: 13 x 12 inches 120 V, 50/60 Hz
