You are bidding upon a used Intimus CC3 45 Cross Cut Shredder ideal for Home or Small/Medium Office. This shredder is not you run of the mill ?30.00 unit but a ?400+ piece of equipment. This was a former MOD / Army Shredder that became surplus to requirements as they replaced them with newer higher security models so it is a good solid piece of equipment. The machine info provided in the listing is the capability of a new shredder and as such should be used as a ballpark figure because this item is used so performance might be lower than when machine was new with regards as to quantities of paper machine will shred at once. This machine has had a working life before I acquired it so it is not going to be perfect. The damage that I have pointed to in photos 3 & 4 are where the plastic tab for the door open/closed sensor has broken off. In order to use the machine I have folded some paper over and fitted it into the slot where the plastic tab would usually fit and hit the sensor on the machine to inform users of the door being open allowing the machine to shred. The machine is not perfect but is still very useable to someone. The CC3 45 is a great shredder for small departments and multiple users. This shredder is for all general office requirements and easy to use. Intimus Manufacturer Code: 279152 It is rated at security level 3 (Confidential) under the Old Din 32757-1 Level and level P-4 (Restricted) under the newer Din 66399 Security Level. This machine cuts paper into 3.8mm x 30mm Cross Cut lengths. The machine has a powerful 700w motor and can cut though staples and credit cards too although I have not tried them. It has 2 throats to put items to be shred. one which is 260mm for A4 paper and another for credit cards/floppy disks/cd's/dvd's etc..... The machine is easy to move on wheels as it is quite heavy around 34kg+. I have run this machine to test it for about 30 mins and did not encounter problems but I have other shredders of larger size to better suit my needs and no room for both. I have used shredder oil to keep the blades lubricated which should be done on a frequent basis or after 30 mins continous use to ensure smooth operation. It appears to be in full working order and comes with power cable. The shredded paper is collected via a pullout drawer which can be lined by special bags but I have just used a black bin liner which has done the job.
