XDS Series Inverted Microscope (same model as VWR Microscoptics IV 900) ·         Ideal for examining live specimen, tissue and cell cultures. ·         Long working distance plan and phase objectives   The ergonomically designed XDS series inverted microscope provides superior quality images for bright field and phase contrast observation. With built-in photographic and video port, it  is especially useful for examining live cell or tissue culture, specimen, or any reactions carried in culture dishes or vials.   Microscope is supplied complete with the following components: stand and observation head; WF 10X eyepiece; 11X centering telescope; 10X, 25X and 40X Long working distance (LWD) plan achromatic objectives and annuli; 25X LWD phase contrast objective and annulus; 6V 20W halogen lamp with adjustable brightness.   Specifications: Eyepieces:             Paired WF 10X eyepieces Head:                     Rotatable binocular configuration, the binocular head is inclined at 45o and adjustable for                                 interpupillary distance and dioptric differences.                                               Objectives:            Four objectives: 10X, 25X and 40X LWD plan achromatic objectives; 25X LWD phase contrast objective. Stage:                     Precision-machined mechanical stage with low position x-y movement knob. Stage inserts allow for use with different sized specimen containers. Condenser:           0.3 N.A. condenser with iris diaphragm, swing out condenser holder with rack and pinion movement and safety stop. Filters:                    Filter wheel with five positions and color filters: yellow, green, blue, gray (neutral). Illumination:        Built-in 6V, 20W halogen illumination with intensity adjustment and lamp centering device. Video Capacities:Built-in video and photographic port with standard C-mounts (lens and adapter required).   Previously List Price  at VWR (microcoptics IV900) and WPI:  USD 4,350.00 last one available (seven sold)
