This is a hydrogen thyratron pulse drive transformer with some switching electronics. It drove one of those metal and ceramic hydrogen thyratron tubes used in an excimer laser used for a medical application. Alternately you can remove the pulse transformer to use as a pulse detector. It could also be used in reverse to convert signals from a high voltage source like a counter tube to a lower voltage for the detection circuitry. So you are getting a dual purpose device, apply a high current moderate voltage pulse to trigger thyratron with the HV output, or have a fast High voltage pulse input to drive a low voltage detector circuit. This item is pretty hard to find. I have lots of laser and other unique stuff for sale this week.
