This Jacob's Super Chuck Ball Bearing Drill Chuck is specifically engineered for heavy-duty, close tolerance production drilling. It is adaptable to a wide range of production drilling equipment, jig borers, milling machines, lathes and radials. Utilizing a ball thrust bearing to reduce friction in the chuck closing mechanism, it permits the application of more gripping force on drill shanks to maximize drilling torque under the most demanding machining conditions. This is one of the earlier models, made in Hartford Connecticut, with a No A0202 1/2"Jacobs Chuck Arbor. The Arbor has a No. 2 Morse Taper with a No. 2 Jacobs Taper. This vintage chuck has obviously not been used much and has hardly and signs of wear and tear. All the teeth are still perfect and bearings are still in excellent condition. The chuck opens and closes very smooth with the Jacobs 32 key. I would be happy to send a video if you want. The only signs of aging are a few little rust spots on the arbor. (See all photos!) Nothing a wire brush cant fix. Total Length is 6" and about 2" wide. Brand new today the chuck alone sells for 129.00 at Home Depot. Check out the home depot or Jacobs website for prices and specs.
