The tea is in good condition having been stored in a cool, dry warehouse and never opened. It is great brewed on its own or blended with other aromatic ingredients to produce an exotic, delicious beverage. This is by far the most popular type of tea in Japan and representing roughly 80% of the tea produced in that country. Sencha, meaning "new tea" is picked from the first flush of the year. Having stored abundant amounts of nutrients over the winter months, this new growth is concentrated with antioxidants and polyphenols. Japan considered the most delicious of all the green teas.
