This is a JAPAX LU3B wire edm machine This machine needs typical maintenance items like new filters, DI resin, flush cups, etc. It also needs some minor parts replaced like a few gauges and some minor wiring.  I've gone through the upper and lower heads and meticulously disassembled and cleaned everything. As far as I can tell the sapphire, diamond, and graphite pieces are still usable.  I've repaired the dashpot with new fluid and seal and cleaned all the ceramic pulleys. I've also disassembled the edge-cut table and cleaned all the linear bearings and rails.  I do have two brand new main pressurized filters. You would still need to get DI resin and the 4 unpressurized filters. DI resin can be got on ebay..probably need about $40 worth.  I have also installed a big new roll of brass wire.  I would say a few weekends and a few hundred dollars would get the machine into running condition. I know what needs to be done and I can tell you all the details. It has 4 axis for angled cuts (X and Y for main table, U and V for top platform) If you are new to EDM machines, this uses a thin electrified wire to cut shapes in material. It flushes the cutting area with a dielectric, which is water. This is not a vertical/die sinker edm, which cuts using a different process.  The machine weighs about 2400lbs total and is divided into 3 main pieces, the main machine, the power supply, and the dielectric tank. I originally transported it in two trips, using a $20 uhaul trailer and a very lightweight SUV that could only tow about 3500 lbs, so moving it is cheap and relatively easy.  The item is located in East Hemet, CA 92544, and I can help you load it into a trailer with my cherry picker.  This machine can be run using a phase converter in a home shop. Thats how I'm running it, and McWilliams has told me that its acceptable.  Also included are a full set of manuals including the very help McWilliams EDM training book.  McWilliams is a company that still supports this machine with tech support and parts.  You can google them to see their website and contact info.
