Jason JS-400 Hot Stamping Machine for Foil Imprinting The Jason Systems foil imprinting machine is used to hot-stamp metallic foil lettering on books, Bibles, napkins, Mylar balloons, photographs, ribbons, pencils, greeting cards, stationery, and many other paper, plastic, and leather items. The 115 volt, dual heating system heats quickly and assures consistent heat throughout the printing area. The desktop machine has a long neck and you can imprint an 18” album right in the center or along any edge. It weighs a hefty 20 pounds and will stay in place as you use it. Letters are typeset and clamped into a type holding plate, the plate inserted into the machine where it is automatically heated. The item to be printed is then placed on the work surface. When the lever is pulled down, the hot type presses the foil onto the item, leaving a permanent metallic impression behind. The cast lead type can be reused almost forever. Pulling the lever automatically turns the foil roll slightly to place unused foil in place for a new printing. Once the type is set in the machine, multiple stampings can be made by simply removing the completed item, putting a new one on the work surface, and pulling the lever again. The colored foil rolls are easily replaced to change colors. The heavy-duty machine is used but in good condition. Comes with extra power supply extending the life of the machine.
