The affected leg or arm is placed inside the appropriate sleeve, pushing the blood supply through the veins and arteries in the extremity. Unit cycles every 2 minutes, 1 1/2 minutes on to preset pressure, then 30 seconds off, or down to zero pressure. Pressure measured and displayed ( gauge ) in mm Hg.
