The doors close automatically to help keep flammable or hazardous liquids securely contained and meet certain local, state, or federal fire codes. The cabinet is made of 18-gauge galvanized steel, which is resistant to rust, dents, and certain chemicals.The cabinet is double-walled, with 1-1/2 inches of space between the walls, to reduce the risk of fires. A kick plate resists dents and wear and mounts flush with other cabinetry. The yellow powder-coated finish resists scratches, chipping, fading, and other wear. A three-point latching system helps keep the cabinet door securely shut. The door handle accepts a padlock to help secure the cabinet's contents and prevent unauthorized access. The door is attached to the cabinet with a continuous piano hinge, which is more secure than typical butt hinges. The door sill is 2 inches high to help keep out moisture. The shelf can hold up to 350 pounds and slopes slightly to direct spills to the back of the cabinet. Two 2-inch vents allow internal vapors to escape. Each vent has a flame arrester to help prevent liquids inside the cabinet from igniting. A ground connection facilitates grounding and helps prevent static sparks. Four adjustable feet enable the cabinet to be leveled. A safety warning label in English, French, and Spanish alerts users to the cabinet's contents. Reflective labels help make the cabinet visible in the dark. The cabinet measures 35 x 35 x 22 inches (H x W x D), weighs 192 pounds, and can store up to 22 gallons of flammable liquids.
