"The SI-5 and SI-6 Barrier Terminal Board Signal Isolators convert standard KBIC and KBMM controls to an isolated input. By using external resistors, the input signal can be changed to 0-100VDC, 0-200VDC and 4-20mA. The output voltage is 0-10VDC which can be rescaled via the built-in Min and Max trimpots. Selectable AC line jumpers (included) allow the SI-5 to be used either with 115 or 230VAC controls. Installation is made by simply mating the unit to the speed control via the built-in quick-connect terminals. Models where used: KBMM KBIC" These KBIC Controllers are used in many small CNC machines, particularly the small "teaching" machines which are finding their way into the hobby CNC builders.  This board snaps onto the original KBIC (or KBMM) DC motor controller to give you a nice set of connection terminals for use with your spindle or stepper motors.  It basically serves as a breakout board and circuit isolator for the KBIC controller. This greatly simplifies configuration of these systems for hobby grade aftermarket CNC controls
