KETT TOOL COMPANY NIBBLER AN7000 / SHN FOR PARTS OR REPAIR Model SHN is the old model number but they've changed the number to AN7000. Same machine,  just changed the number. The nibbler part of the machine is gone. A contractor for the Dept of Energy  here in Idaho broke the nibbler then it ended up being excessed and we got it in an auction.  We didn't get the broken parts with it. We got it in the early part of 2011 and contacted Kett and got a  rough estimate for the repair parts. The cost for the parts then was about $675. We didn't want  to pursue repairing it then, and still don't, so it got put on a shelf and forgotten and eventually  had more stuff stacked in front of it. Out of sight, out of  mind. We found it again, looked on the  net and found that it is a pricey item. So here we are. Probably at this time the parts would  probably  be close to $1000.  The motor operates in good fashion. There's a slight noise coming from the gear box. That may  be caused by the bottom piece being missing and low on gear grease. Don't know.  The electrical cord has been replaced. A heavier type wire was used and there wasn't a boot  for where the wire goes into the handle. Operates on 120 volts.
