Precision-manufactured from high strength materials, they are light in weight and engineered for effortless lettering. Leroy scribers are perfectly balanced. They are easy to operate. The tracer pin glides smoothly through the engraved characters on the template, and requires no pressure. The weighted tail piece holds the tail pin in the horizontal groove of the template as the tracer pin moved letter to letter. The characters are engraved right through the outer white layer to the black middle layer. They stand out in sharp permanent black on white contrast. Each letter, number and symbol is engraved complete and can be drawn complete without shifting the template. You can change LEROY templates from one size of letter to another, or turn the template over to the characters on the back and continue the same line of lettering, without having to move your straightedge (ruler). This is so because the distance from the bottom of the letters to the lower edge of the template is uniform throughout all standard and nearly all other LEROY lettering templates. Easy Letter Spacing: Since the scales has a central zero on the lower edge of the template, you can quickly center or space any line of lettering.ther for extra strength and stability.
