Kevlar® 49 (K49) Aramid cloth High-modulus type used primarily for composite reinforcement: fiber optic cable, textile processing, plastic reinforcement,  ropes and cables  composites for marine  sporting goods  aerospace applications  pressure vessels Kevlar combined with carbon fiber will yield a high strength-to-weight ratio, dimensional stability, in addition to a remarkable impact-, abrasion-, and fatigue resistance product.  Denier: Denier is a unit of measurement that is used to determine the fiber thickness of individual threads or filaments used in the creation of textiles and fabrics. Fabrics with a high denier count tend to be thick, sturdy, and durable. Fabrics with a low denier count tend to be sheer, soft, and silky. Tow: In the composites industry, a tow is an untwisted bundle of continuous filaments usually spun onto a spool. Ideally that spool is placed on a rack with many other spools all feeding into a loom where it is weaved into sheets. For the average civilian who does not own a loom, tow as is has just a much value as if it were woven. Tow has more versatility than woven sheets, one could reinforce problematic areas with extra wrapps of tow. Chop it up and sprinkle for extra strength. Make or add a layer to your favorite gloves, now they are cut resistant.  Possibilities are only hindered by not obtaining some. 4" samples available per request, via mail.
