Notched Spacer Set 18 pt Kingsley set of spacers, for use with any Kingsley type on an 18pt base in an 18pt type holder. Just any old spacers will probably not work on a Kingsley machine unless your type holder has been modified by removing "Kingsley's Ridge" and shaving the back just a little. But with these spacers, you have no worries because they were made by Kingsley to work on all their machines. These spacers generally never wear out (once in a while you may have to sand down an edge). Four Sizes 1/2 inch wide  - Quantity: 4 1/4 inch wide  - Quantity: 8 Word Spacers - Quantity: 10 Brass Shims    - Quantity: 10 Caution Never allow the type holder clamp screw to come in contact with a type character; always have a spacer in there, even if it is just a brass shim. If there is not room for a shim, move to the next largest type holder; if you're already in the largest type hold you have, replace a word spacer with 3 brass shims, and put a fourth brass shim in front of that first character.
