Kleer-Flo De-Moister Piston Expel Remove Condensation Water/Oil Slip Valve DM8 Brand: Kleer-Flo, New York, NY, USA Model: DM8 1-1/4 Aluminum bar stock, 6” long, anodized to government specifications. Maximum operating pressure is 300 psi. Internal components fabricated of stainless steel Monel with Teflon seal. The Kleer-Flow Automatic De-Moister is a unique instrument for removing condensed water and oil from compressed air systems without opening the system to the atmosphere. Condensation in an air system can cause faulty operation of air control components. When the DE-MOISTER is used on a central compressor receiver, it eliminates the need for regularly blowing down the compressor storage tank. Where line runs from the compressor are long, and further condensation occurs, it is used on drop legs, or filter bowls, or items of individual equipment. Model DM8 is recommended for compressors and applications where there are relatively large accumulations of water and oil. This unit has a reservoir which increases its water and oil capacity. En even larger reservoir may be substituted, up to gallons if desired. Operating Functions: As the piston moves forward, it closes the intermediate chamber and reservoir from the atmosphere and opens the ball valve. When the ball valve is open, the condensed moisture and oil rush into the intermediate chamber and the excess into the reservoir, compressing the atmospheric air contained in the reservoir. As the piston returns, the ball valve closes, and the port holes are opened. The condensation is then expelled out the drain. All that is necessary for operation of the DE-MOISTER is an intermittent air source such as the tapping into the compressor unloader line with a tee or tapping into one end of a reciprocating cylinder with a tee.
