For sale is one knife edge array for use as an optical component in a multi-laser system. This knife edge array is designed to intake multiple parallel sources of laser light, and reorient the beams to travel "side-by-side". This design is a method used by experienced laser hobbyists to achieve a higher output laser beam due to the apparent "combining" of multiple laser sources. Please note that there is also a lens in this array with a short focal length that cannot be removed. This lens focuses nearly all incoming re-oriented laser beams to a very tight point, which presents an issue for those who may need the beam to continue after re-orientation from the mirrors. In this array there are 8 mirrors, all preset at the 45 degree angle commonly used in knife edge arrays. The dimensions as measured by digital caliper are given below. Mirror: length at 45 degree angle is 4.8mm. Width is 30mm+. Space between mirrors is 5.25mm. Center to center of mirror is ~10.5mm. Total working space with mirrors and gaps included is ~75mm. Lens has a rectangular opening for light throughput, and that rectangle measures 30mm tall and 22mm wide. The laser beam(not included) in the images above is simply for demonstrative purposes to show, in principle, how the knife edge array works. I do not recommend this product to novice laser users due to the incalculable patience required to properly align multiple parallel laser beams.
