I have cleaned it real well and believe it to be one of the better L&R's on Ebay as far as clean goes! Tried it with some silver jewelry and a little powder-polish/cleaner and dish soap, it actually cleaned off most of the tarnish on the first go. The neon light does not glow. Not too too sure if it heats the water too well cuz I used warm water and it stayed warm for an hour or moremore during some cleaning tests of jewelry and door knobs, so heat may actually work? I will update when I finish testing. Has rusted bottom but does not affect operation at all, even looks fine in use! This includes a 3 pack sample of ultrasonic parts cleaner, each single is mix to a gallon of warm water so about 2-4 uses per and 6 to 12 uses per pack.
