I am using it with a motion detector as part of a home/office security system (prior knowledge/understanding for installing of motion detectors/lighting/security systems required) They are designed to be tamper and moisture resistant Used in correctional facilities, county jails, institutions, & prisons due to the high quality, strength, and design I doubt anyone will want to pay the retail price requested by local supply houses.
