L-Mesitran Hydro Hydro-Active Honey Wound Dressing 10cm x 10cm - Pack of 10 L-Mesitran Hydro is an advanced wound dressing that combines the wound healing properties of honey with the advantages of a hydrogel dressing. It is the primary dressing for the treatment of burns, skin tears, ulcers and acute trauma wounds. The thin honey-hydrogel layer in this medical device is capable of absorbing 5 times its own weight of wound fluid and does not disintegrate. It will follow the contours of the wound and keeps contact with the wound surface. L-Mesitran Hydro provides an ideal healing environment with less pain, reduction of inflammation and L-Mesitran Hydro promotes a moist healing environment. The honey in the hydrogel will kill bacteria and fungi and will prevent further contamination or growth. This activity is due to the high osmotic properties of honey and makes L-Mesitran Hydro the first antibacterial hydrogel sheet.
