A nice even shower of water is best to properly coat the espresso evenly. -Keep a clean screen and replace often...no less than every six months. -Trouble with Removal? In rare cases that shower screw will just not turn no matter how hard you try. Then the screw begins to strip. Start with a good long soaking backflush first. This may help to break apart the grime keeping the screw locked in place. If a backflush does not help... The other way to remove a "screw style" shower screen is by prying the screen downward. Start with a smaller, thin, flat-head screwdriver. Pry the screen downward (this will damage the screen permanently) from one side towards the center. This will create an "L" shape. Using a pair of pliers, grab the flap that you bent downward and turn counter-clockwise. The screen and screw will being to turn. Once loosened, finish removal with your stubby flat-head screw driver. Clean group thoroughly and replace. Don't forget to Backflush! We love that you love your coffee!
