This auction is for both the La Marzocco GB/5 3AV (Automatic 3-group) Espresso Machine AND the La Marzocco Swift Auto Tamp Grinder. La Marzocco GB/5 3 Group Automatic (AV) Espresso Machine Unit was purchased used from Coda Coffee in Denver, CO. Coda Coffee (Roast Magazine's Best Macro Roaster of 2014) refurbished the machine prior to our purchase. The unit had 1 owner (2007-2013); it was in use in a cafe in Boulder, CO and was sold because it was an extra unit in the cafe's new catering line up. We purchased the machine in early 2014 for a new business venture. We have decided not to use the machine because it is too big for our bar design (we are switching to a 2-group). This machine was given a complete and thorough overhaul by Coda -- the double boilers were descaled, all gaskets and screens were replaced, pipes were flushed, etc. The La Marzocco GB/5 espresso machine provides superior temperature consistency with its double boiler. Shots pull at consistent temperature, even in a high volume atmosphere. Additionally, the the double boiler ensures steady steam pressure for even milk steaming in preparation for fantastic microfoam and beautiful latte art! The unit features a digital display for accurate reading of time of shots pulled. It's a great choice for a medium to high volume cafe with a focus on consistency and high quality shots. Note on Condition: Normal cosmetic wear and tear from a high volume cafe: scratches on the silver and worn black paint on front tray and feet. Several button icons are missing on the first and third group; however, buttons still work. Retail price: $18,000 La Marzocco Swift Grinder Unit was purchased used from a cafe in Seattle, WA -- with one owner. We purchased the machine in early 2014 for a new business venture. We have decided not to use this machine because we don't need both hoppers -- and are downsizing to a different grinder. The burr sets were replaced prior to our purchase of the unit. Swift Grinders grind and tamp on demand to give the barista exceptionally accurate volumetric dosing. Cafes that use this machine report virtually no waste and shots are consistent across the course of a day and across different baristas. Note on Condition: Normal cosmetic wear and tear from a high volume cafe: scratches on the black paint, dings on the front plate, scuffs on the hoppers.
