Labconco Purifier 36208-4 Class II Safety/Biohazard Cabinet For sale- a Labconco Purifier Class II Safety/Biohazard Cabinet Catalog Number 36208-4. This is a four foot hood, and in this case the interior is actually a full 48 inches wide (many 4’ hoods are smaller than that inside but larger outside). 24 inches deep on the inside. Exterior dimensions are a bit over 50 inches wide, 31 inches deep and a bit over 57 inches tall. The sale includes a stand which would add a little less than 29 inches to the height. If any of these dimensions are critical please contact me for something more exact. It’s hard to get a good look in a dark warehouse trying to use a tape measure by yourself. This particular model features a fixed sash which can be pivoted up into two different raised positions as pictured. With the sash in the raised position and the blower going it smells a little funky, with the sash down I don’t smell a thing. There was a decontamination sticker on it when I bought the thing that I have removed, but when I peeked underneath the floor of the unit it looks like they were not entirely thorough. I will flood that with a germicidal cleaner that I have before it ships and try to clean that up some. Probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to go over it with a recommended disinfectant at your end, it specifies 70% ethanol which is not something I have on hand. Last certified in 2012 and it should theoretically be re-certified every year and after being moved, so obviously that is something you will need to consider. I have no way of knowing how long the filter has been installed, so if that needs to be replaced you should be checking into that before you buy. As you can see in the pictures the hood is fitted with both standard fluorescent and ultraviolet lighting, and both work. As noted the blower is also functional. It is otherwise untested, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered. However, IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it. Returns are ONLY allowed on Buy It Now Purchases. Accepted Best Offers are strictly an as is sale, no returns allowed. Return would be for a refund of the purchase price, not including shipping costs, which may be substantial. Just so that we are clear on that, this is an item that has not been thoroughly tested. As such it may work fine or it may have problems, so any purchase entails a certain degree of risk. If you Buy It Now your risk is limited to the shipping costs both ways. If you submit an offer you do so knowing that you cannot return it. In either case it is up to you to decide whether the risk level is acceptable to you, and if not you need to pass on this particular item. The front panel above the two rocker switches is banged in a bit, would guess that happened in transit to surplus. I think that whole front panel comes off to give access to the filter but I don’t know how to get it off and I don’t want to break it trying. It if comes off it would be easy enough to flatten the damage, pictured, back out from behind. Expect the usual scuffs and scratches associated with a used fume hood, but overall it looks pretty good. In the pictures it does not have the lower two side panels in place but as you can see they are included (actually I maxed out my picture allotment before I got to that, if you want to see the sides let me know). I will try to figure out how they go back on before it ships. A manual appears to still be available for download on the Labconco website, but you have to log in to access it so I will leave that bit of detective work to you. Please check out my other listings for more interesting lab, test, and optical equipment. Check back often! Sold as is, as described, as pictured. Potential buyers are asked to please make sure you have read the listing carefully, and understand what you are buying. Ebay’s condition codes for used items, which I am now required to select from, might imply a degree of functionality that my limited time, knowledge, and facilities do not allow me to ascertain. If the functional condition of the item is known it will be stated as such in the listing. Unless a warranty is specifically offered returns are not accepted regardless of any implied functionality. Shipping will be motor freight on a pallet unless you would like to come pick it up. I would estimate the shipping weight at around 700 pounds. I would estimate the freight cost for that at between $350 and $900 to the east and west coast respectively. Residential deliveries, deliveries that require liftgates, deliveries to the boonies, and deliveries to schools or universities will all be more because it takes longer for the carrier to get the job done. Shipping will be via Old Dominion Freight Lines, which has done a consistently good job getting my shipments where they are going without roughing them up. I will be happy to quote you for the shipment, but I need to know the zip code, residential or commercial, and whether a lift gate will be required. If you would prefer to use another carrier that’s fine . It will be shipping from a warehouse with a loading dock in zip code 23093, but I do not live there! I require pickup confirmation the day before and your carrier must provide an emailed printable copy of the Bill of Lading so that there is paperwork available for the driver to sign when he gets there. The BOL should have all the info filled out when I receive it, blank copies are unacceptable. I can ship this to Canada via Old Dominion, but they do not offer customs brokerage services, so you would need to have your own customs broker lined up before it shipped.
