This over voltage protector is designed to short out a power supply in the event the voltage goes over a pre-set limit.  It fits virtually all Lambda Supplies and screws right in. It could be used with other brands as long as a heat sink is provided.  The voltage range is from 3-8 Volts. I found that the range can be changed if you take out the 2K trim pot and replace it with a 10K.  That way you can raise the voltage to 40 Volts. I have more if needed.
