For Auction - 1 - Landis, Landmatic Die Head.  This is surplus from a machine shop that we purchased.  We have sold two of these prior to this one and it appears to be generally complete.  The only problems that I can see is that the small handle that normally screws in the side of the main body is missing and has been replaced by a fine threaded bolt.  There is normal light pitting and surface rust as well as the patina normally seen on this type of an item.  Outside of sticking it in the parts washer, nothing has been done to this head. All 4 dies are included and each ones has the following stamping:  U.N.C. and the numbers 1 through 4 followed by UN10.  I cannot feel or see any nicks or gouges in the teeth but there is some rust.  I do not know how this item works and as such cannot attest to its operational condition.  It is very heavy.  I would estimate its weight to be over 30 lbs and will probably ship UPS.  It is 9-1/4" tall and the body is about 7" in diameter.  The shank appears to be about 2-7/16" in diameter and has a small machined flat area. Seller Notes “I cannot vouch for its condition. I have sold a few of these and it appears to be generally complete. There is usually a small machined handle screwed in the body but on this unit it appears that the handle has been lost and a fine threaded bolt has been put in its place. There is some surface rust and pitting along with the normal patina associated with age.”
