2866aXA1C.11 New Large Alternating High-Low (Hi/LO) Tone Piezo Sirens, 105 Decibels @ 6 to 16 Volts DC (12V Rated) for Warning Buzzer, End-of-Cycle Alarm, Etc, Part Number 62T3120TA, Customer Part Number 29-60003. Each bid quantity is for One (1) Siren. You may bid / buy any number, up to the total quantity available above. These were purchased at an industrial liquidation earlier this year, and they were brand new in the original factory trays. We repackaged them in heavy Ziplok bags. Our engineering department (one guy with a box of tools) concluded that they are quite loud when connected to a 12V car battery. We had no sound testing equipment, but 105 decibels, according to the manufacturer. As long as you keep them dry, these should also be plenty loud to warn slow people who enjoy standing behind vehicles. Our skilled technician determined that the Black wire goes to Negative, and the Gray wire goes to Positive. He found that they smoke really bad and stop working immediately when you connect them to 120V AC house current. The sound alternates high and low; sort of like the European police cars in the James Bond movies -- only at a higher frequency, and much more annoying. Equip one with a 12V battery and timer, and hide it in a friend's attic, crawl space, or shrubbery. Should make for an interesting night of searching, if you set it to sound for only a few seconds every hour. Would be loads of fun connected to the wiring under somebody's car hood, dash, or trunk. Power window circuits, mirrors, reverse lights, brake lights -- anything that shuts off when they jump out and start looking for it. If you can record their antics with a hidden camera, it should make a great YouTube video.
