Large Conversation Trap

These traps are usually fabricated for restaurants, hunting camps, sporting clubs, lodges and sporting goods stores and more. They use them to show their visitors and guests some old time mountain man history. Several of these traps have already been placed in restaurants in northern Pennsylvania.  Great for a fireplace decoration setting right under an muzzle loader rifle. This trap is not manufactured to catch animals, it is made with the same type of steel that traps were made of years ago. Everything is in working order  except for the amount spring tension in the springs. The trap can be set in an open jaw fashion if required, I don't advise anyone to set this trap unless they secure or weld the jaws in an open position to eliminate possible injury.    This is just a conversation piece NOT a working trappers tool. Extra Large Trap #16-14 Up for sale is a large trap that was fabricated in the Manchester, Pennsylvania area in 2015. The trap is fabricated to scale from traps manufactured in North America. The trap length is 42.5 inches, the width is 20.5 inches and 10 inches high. The jaw spread is 16 x 14 inches, the chain is 26 inches long with a 3 inch ring. The trap pan is 8 inches in diameter with the Extra Large Trap logo and trap size cut into the pan. The trap weight is 35 lbs, shipping weight is 45 lbs in a 12 x 20 x 25 inch box. The trap has never been set, and is sold as a conversation piece. The trap was fabricated so it could be set but, we do not recommend that you set it. The pan and dog trip system has a hole drilled in the pan pivot above the pan pivot bolt that the trapper would use to place a small stick in the hole to keep small animals from firing the trap. I will ship this trap to you if you pay the shipping cost. Just send your zip code to me for the shipping cost. If you would like to order a trap of a certain size just send me your information.
