Up for sale is a large lot of (72) lenses, all glass or better (except the big one on bottom, will explain below), most are coated with one thing or another, and come from a variety of devices. Without going into a long spiel, I've been collecting lenses for years, from all types of machinery, medical equipment, telephoto lenses, night vision goggles/binoculars, and any other type of device that a lens can be found in. I've spent an obscene amount of money doing so, and while I don't expect to get even a fraction back from these, it's time they found another home so I can move within the next couple of months.  I have several hundred to go through and have recently been listing them in singles or small groups, but it will take me years at this pace and I'm ready to get these out the door (Keep in mind I've been selling them in those singles or small groups for an average of $18, this lot being about 20 of those listings). You should know that not one of these is a shitty lens or piece of glass. I have a whole separate cabinet of glass that doesn't make the grade. If you get these and don't feel the same way about them, send em on back for a refund but please just keep them in the same condition as when they arrived on your doorstep.  Cosmetically, every lens is either in excellent/perfect condition or has one very small, irrelevant hair-sized scratch or tiny chip in it. I would say 10% have a ding of some kind. But, the reason they are in the lot is because it's an irrelevant ding. In other words, when you go to use the lens, it will not interfere with the len's job or yours. Once again, if it does just send it back and we can work out a partial refund.  So this is the logic behind the placement of each lens, which will help you to see their diameters, and hopefully the pictures help show their thickness. Each lens is placed in the bottom left corner of a square. Each square is exactly 1" in any direction. So for example, the bottom left lens on the mat sits on four squares plus a little more, so you can estimate it's diameter at about 2.1". If this doesn't make sense, just shoot me a message and I'll explain further.  I filled the mat up so that there was a lens in every available square with an open bottom left spot, so it would be easy for bidders to determine the size for every lens.  There are a variety of types in the lot, Convex/Concave/Aspherical/BiConvex, etc etc. If there are two next to one another that look to be the same lenses, it's because they are a pair, which would go in microscopes or night vision binoculars. (I don't think I have any regular binocular lenses that I consider to be worth a damn, so none are included).  Now the last lens, the big one on the bottom, is actually some kind of plastic or other material that isn't glass or similar. However, I consider it a bonus lens because it would've taken up too much room on the mat, would've taken away the "glass or better" rule I had, and because their are some very light scratches on the top that you can only see when angled correctly. But, it's solid, and I'm fairly certain it came from a high-end BenQ projector I attempted to repair but found out after the purchase that replacement parts are expensive and uneconomical to buy.  So, since this is the first of three or four of these lens auction listings, I've decided to include it as a bonus lens and maybe someone will put it onto a flashlight and light up their entire street. I only sell quality glass, in excellent to perfect condition (unless stated otherwise), but if you receive it and feel differently you're welcome to return it (as long as it's in the same condition as when it landed on your doorstep). If you have questions let me know and payment due within 24 hours of purchase or it gets relisted. Thanks,  Bill
