Excellent very Large Pyrex Vacuum Dewar - 4000mL ( 4L ), Silvered Glass,   Model 8642   Silvered Pyrex, Aluminum Base Holder.    Perfect for convenient transport or use with larger amounts of  Liquid Nitrogen, dry ice baths, ice, or even hot items during longer experiments, cooling, quenching,  or other operations.  Also perfect for experiments and applications requiring larger amounts of coolant or longer cooling operations. Excellent price considering the cost of new ones is over $300.    Borosilicate glass with a silvered coating for extremely good efficiency and small vacuum jacket at the base.   Tight fitting black polyethylene covers are available from suppliers ( or we will order for you  at an additional cost )  to reduce evaporation but they are semi- porous to eliminate pressure buildup.   Very handy for any Lab, Shop, Classroom, Q.C.  or other areas for occasional transfer or storage  of significant amounts of very cold or hot materials.  7-1/2" outside D x 12" H and 6" D inside and 11" deep ( 270mm D x 143 mm ID )  with a wide mouth for easy filling and insertion of material.  Also a  solid base to prevent breakage #444D, 1713 See some of our other auctions including those for carboys  and other dewars, as shown in the latter photos.  Not included in this auction.
