This exquisite piece is constructed from select mahogany solids, and crotch mahogany veneers on top of a solid oak case. The interior wood is such as the drawer boards and joinery are al constructed from solid oak hardwood. The exterior is goergeous Phillipean mahogany. The top features antique tooled brown leather, and all drawer fronts feature custom antique brass bail pulls. Each pedestal is fully used, containing one file drawer and two utility drawers on each side (4 file drawers in total). These solid oak file drawers are fitted with adjutalbe bars allowing either legal or letter size pedeflex files to hang inside. As it is a true partner's desk, both sides are identical in appearance and function. Intricate hand carvings include lionhead motifs, scroll work, and acanithus leaf accents.This magnificent piece comes in 3 pieces and weighs over 350 pounds.
