Maximum current value can be changed by means of an appropriate resistor. It is a solution which allows for the elimination of the capacitive-inductive effects introduced by multi-turn potentiometers. The driver works with the following diodes: 405 nm, 445 nm, 520 nm, 638 nm, 650 nm, 808 nm, 980 nm. By selecting an appropriate PSU and the driver in question, it is possible to power literally every laser diode up to 5W available on the market. The examples of diodses are: 1 W 445 nm, 3,5 W 445 nm, 500 mW 635 nm, 200 mW 808 nm, 1 W 808 nm, 5 W 808 nm. Laser diode can be soldered directly to the driver board. It has two pads on both sides of the board with the LD+ and LD - outputs.Recommendations and requirements The supply voltage should be always higher than or equal to 5V. The minimum supply voltage for other situations is given by the formula: Vin = 0,5* I + Vd + 0,6V Vin is input voltage Vd is diode working voltage I - desired maximum current Modulation input can be used as TTL input with its logic levels of 0V and 5V or as an analog input. Analog modulation means that by using 2,5 V on ANG input you get 50% output power, analogically by using 4 V you get 80% output power, etc. We recommend the use of power cables with cross-section of at least 0.35 mm2. Depending on used laser diode, you should monitor and assure proper cooling for the MOSFET transistor. MOSFET should be isolated from the heat sink with silicon pad.Protection The driver is protected against reverse polarity and is fitted with active frequency filters which block very high frequencies (from approximately 10 MHz). The driver is also protected by a bidirectional diode (transil) which protects the system against electrostatic discharge at the input of the supply. Additionally, the driver has a softstart system that cuts off the flow of current through the laser diode at the initial phase of connecting the system to the power supply. The driver is fitted with a 100ms softstart designed to protect the laser diode against switch-on effects. Shipping Items are shipped withing three working days.
