Raimonds Slaidins born in Latvia April 28,1927.  Came to the USA in 1949, was educated in art and environmental design. Attended University of Nebraska (B of Arch.), Ecole des Beaux Arts, France (diploma),  Lectured at San Francisco State College, College of Arts & Crafts, seminars and  Latvian youth camps. Exhibited in numerous group shows.  Since 1964 honorary life member in the Marin Art Society (Board of Directors and president), served on juries, was the exhibit curator. One-man shows in Latvia (1983), San Francisco (1974/77/79). Owner of architectural illustration and digital graphics firm and art gallery co-owner. Published in Who's Who in California, Who's Who in Interior Design. Member-emeritus of American Institute of Architects (AIA), also founding member  of American Latvian Art Association (ALAA), and other professional organizations.  Awarded the Three Star Order from the government of Latvia.
