IBTracer taps into standard copper 1x InfiniBand links to record InfiniBand traffic on the link. You use software running on a PC to control the IBTracer hardware and upload the trace it records and, most importantly, to analyze how your InfiniBand components work together, diagnose problems, and ensure interoperability and standards compliance. IBTracer offers many innovative features to dramatically reduce time-to- market for your InfiniBand solutions. IBTracer is a hardware module that installs into the CATC Protocol Analyzer System (CATC Platform). Once installed, IBTracer can be easily configured and controlled by a portable or desktop PC connected via its USB port. The IBTracer uses hardware triggering to capture real-time events and hardware filtering to preserve memory and assist in pinpointing data of interest.
