Voltage is maintained but pulsed rapidly with no visible flicker even at the lowest levels. Dimming in this way can extend the life of LEDs and reduces power usage even further. The new dimmer comes with no lead wires so it is ready for you to cut and strip your wires (18 gauge or smaller) and insert them into the wire block for a clean professional installation. Easy installation -- simply cut and strip the pair of wires between your 24vDC power source and the light. Then strip all four ends and insert them in the slots on the dimmer. The knob comes off and you can use the included lock nut to mount the dimmer in a 3/8" hole. Not for use with AC power, halogen or xenon lighting. Best for LED (light emitting diodes) PCB is slightly larger than manufacturer's cut sheet for Kick KR6-12v dimmer. Other dimensions, potentiometer, knob, washer, etc are the same.
