This fine inspection system is useful in a variety of scientific and industrial areas. Perfect for a classroom to inspect field trip samples such as insects, plant materials, rocks etc. Use for industrial inspection and quality control of small parts and 3D electronic devices, MEMS etc. Camera includes software for Windows o/s to make dimensional measurements on the live image. Just calibrate for a particular magnification and follow the measurement instructions. Leica objective set (with aperture diaphragm): 1.5x, 2x and 3x. Sample FOV (field of view horizontal axis in "mm"): 8mm, 6mm and 4mm respectively. Objective revolving nosepiece (quadruple RMS holes) includes Leica low magnification, long working distance objectives with variable iris diaphragm to control contrast and depth of focus. These are the same objectives used on the USA Leica ballistic and toolmark comparison instruments in crime labs. As you can see, we are using a shell casing to demonstrate the unit in this auction. The small viewing screen on the camera (DC-3 from Taiwan) is in excellent condition and includes software/driver CD, remote control unit (tethered and wireless), USB2 cable to connect to your computer and a RCA output cable to patch the video output into a large classroom monitor with VIDEO IN port.....will include RCA-BNC adapter. Items in photo NOT included in this auction: the laptop computer and the gooseneck desk lamp. You can use the camera as a stand-alone (without computer) but no measurement is possible in that mode. Camera includes a SD card slot and blank SD card for digital photomicroscopy. Take stills, shoot short video clips (.avi) and even control the camera for time lapse studies (slow events recorded for faster playback). Connect to a PictBridge ready inkjet/laser color printer for hard copies. Everything is realtime VGA at 28fps on any 4:3 640x480 classroom monitor. This is NOT HD 1080P. The camera alone sells on line for $800-1000.00! This one has never been out of the shop...it is a demo unit and well maintained. The microscope stand has been cleaned and lubed and the objectives are clean and clear. Iris diaphragms all smooth and functional to control DOF and contrast. Measure point to point, area and angles on the live display (with PC connected and camera driver and software loaded). Camera is still current production. Add any infinity corrected objective (RMS thread) you may have on hand in the fourth nosepiece position. Add your own lighting according to your application. Take 3.1MP color photomicrographs. Use a large screen monitor for students or trainees in the lab. Take photos for email attachments and reports. Poster boards for documenting your research findings.
