LETTERPRESS COMPOSING STICK - 12 1/4 INCHES - 1906 Made by The Star Tool Mfg. Co., Springfield, Ohio. Patents: Oct. 11, 1904 and Oct. 31, 1906. Unique slide for holding type in place while setting. Works fine, but this composing stick should be cleaned/restored. I thought it best to let the next owner do that to his or her satisfaction. I have a number of Kelsey and Chandler & Price and other letterpress and home print shop accessories and presses that I no longer need, and am sure will be of help to someone.   a potential bidder asked about the Pica rule on the stick which is hard to see. As I mention above, I leave the cleaning and restoration to the next owner. But, to show you, here are the pica markings on this stick. I have laid next to it one of my pica rules for comparison   Shipping - $8.25 packed in cardboard and with tracking about a pound when packed, thus Priority Mail best way Shipping happily combined on multiple purchases We have been shipping Worldwide for over 30 years Please ask for overseas shipping quote before bidding A view inside our Out-of-Print Bookshop In Historic Walpole, New Hampshire  --  Established 1980 EBAY Member since July 6, 1998 Now -- over TWENTY-TWO YEARS selling on eBay
