This composing stick has matching serial numbers on both the composing stick bed and knee. Serial number is: T2806. Stick is straight and true, no bent or warped surfaces. This composing stick is free of engraved or stamped identifiers that you sometimes find. This is as clean and accurate stick. H.B. The knee has four interlocking teeth that correspond to the slots on the composing stick bed. When you engage the knee at the correct pica measure and lock the knee into place, the knee is locked solidly and will not budge. The graduations on the outside edge denote one pica increments every third pica graduation is etched with pica number corresponding to that etched graduation. “Looks and works like new. There is a small blemish on edge were picas are engraved near 21 pica mark. Has a small divot in edge, does not effect the use. Otherwise all metal edges are straight and true. Knee locks in place on stick snugly as it should.”
