You are considering a 6" X 48" Double Sided Edge Sander. We believe the manufacturer of this sander is Levigatrice, made in Italy. Model or Type Number 123 S 7304. There is also another tag on the sander with the name Fumagalli R on it. An internet search does not show this name as being a woodworking machinery manufacturer. Possibly a distributor? This sander is used, but is in good overall condition. Body and moving parts show normal wear, scratches etc. from use. Both tables can be raised up or down and both will tilt. This sander is missing the "end" table commonly seen around the tail pulley for sanding radius. The bracket for holding the table is still attached and it should not be to hard to fabricate a usable table for the end. The sander is powered by a 5.5 HP 230/460V Electric Motor. (Currently wired for 230V) We have run the sander here. The drive motor and belt tracking adjustment work fine. This sander has a feature that allows the sanding belt to stroke up and down increasing the sanding belt life. This feature is not working correctly due to a damaged gear (see last pictures). From what we've been told, parts are no longer available for this sander and we are not sure if this is something that a machine shop could fabricate or not. The sander is usable as is, but you need to be mindful about raising or lowering the table to a different section of the sanding belt to keep from wearing the belt out in one area. We also noticed that the graphite backing paper behind the sanding belt is torn and needs replaced. We are including a partial roll of graphite paper to replace it. Should be enough on the roll for both sides. We did not receive any extra sanding belts with this sander. The one installed is the only one included. Machine shipping weight: 700 Lbs.
