Once you have lifted your door or board to the required height (up to 2 1/2 inches / 65mm) take your foot off and it stays in position. Now just how clever is that! This is some recent purchasers thought of the Lift & Lock I do lots of door work, and this is the best thing I've found for putting an end to the problem of positioning a door vertically for hinge installation, especially if you work by yourself, like I do. No more stacking shims, or whatever you can find, to try and get the screw holes lined up...just put this under the door; use your foot to lift it into position (where it STAYS until you push the release lever...); and then just run the screws in. Very well made, and does what it says. B B This thing is brilliant! Best door installation support tool I've ever seen.
