ITEM: LIKE NEW HARDLY USED HOBART D340 MIXER WITH GUARD DOUGH HOOK WHISK BEATER/PADDLE BOWL DOLLY INFORMATION: LIKE NEW HARDLY USED HOBART D340 MIXER WITH GUARD DOUGH HOOK WHISK BEATER/PADDLE BOWL DOLLY This 2006 HOBART D340 MIXER is as close to a NEW MIXER as you can get. The mixer was bought as a back up for use in a local school cafeteria. It was used less than 10 times as per school personnel as they had other Hobart mixers that were serviced regularly and was hardly ever down. I had no reason to doubt that after looking and inspecting the mixer. The school change to a new location for a new school and they had to replace with brand new equipment. (Sounds like a waste of $$$$ to me but their loss is your gain). The only cosmetic issues the mixer had were the top cover was cracked and there were a few transport scratches on the base. It took me a total of 2 minutes to wipe off any dust or spots on the mixer and now it is (as it was) incredibly clean. I pulled of the stainless steel bowl panel to clean and there was not even a spec of dirt or dough build up noted. In fact it appears brand spanking new as if it was never removed. I had the mixer inspected/serviced by a Hobart technician and the only problems they found were that the safety sensors were not working properly. To bring this mixer back to factory like new condition I replaced the top cover ($414.00), the bowl lever sensor and bowl guard sensor with thorough evaluation of the mixer ($279.23). This was done last week (10/13/2014). I can provide receipts of both if necessary. The attachments are all OEM with the name HOBART on them and appears brand new as well. The dough hook has no scratches or evidence of use. The beater/paddle appears new as well. The whisk does have a few scratches on the inside where it attaches to the mixer. If it is used then it could not have been used much. New this mixer with attachments cost $13,000 - $16,000.00. This is as close to new as you can get for a fraction of the cost.
