These are plastic or PVC air spargers.  They were attached to the inside of a fiberglass tank and used to disperse air inside a tank of liquid.  They are 2" pipe connection and the slits in the diffusers appear less than a millimeter across and several millimeters long.  They would be great to disperse air in a tank or ammonia into water.
