You are bidding on a Littmann Cardiology III in like-new, hardly used condition. I used this stethoscope for only one semester in school, it is like-new, has no scratches, the tubing soft and supple and shiny, and it comes with all the original accessories. The Littmann Cardiology III has exceptional sound quality, it is clear, crisp, and very loud so it is great for hearing heart, lung, and bowel sounds. When trying out other scopes I did not notice any measurable difference between the Littmann Cardiology III and the Master Cardiology... well except the Master Cardiology was quite a bit more expensive and it did not have the versatility/utility of a separate bell (many med schools require students to buy a stethoscope with a diaphragm and a true bell).The versatility/ utility of the Littmann Cardiology III is great, the small diaphragm is great for using on pediatric patients or it can be removed to as a traditional open bell and diaphragm stethoscope. I have owned several cheap stethoscopes with awful sound quaity. If you have never tried a cardiology stethoscope it is a night and day difference, you must try one just to hear what you have been missing all these years... it is also confidence builder to knowing you heard what you think you heard - you will not believe your ears! It is also rewarding finding undocumented abnormalities missed by other doctors or nurses! The only flaw is that this was a gift and is laser engraved with my name(see pix), it is not a big deal it can be lasered over with a decorative design to hide it. The pediatric side of the chestpiece converts to a traditional open bell by removing the tunable diaphragm and replacing it with the included non-chill bell sleeve. Tunable diaphragm technology—a 3M invention—lets clinicians hear different frequency sounds by simply adjusting the pressure on the chestpiece. Hold the chestpiece with light pressure to hear low frequency sounds; press a little more to hear higher frequency sounds.
