The output is regulated 12V and current can be as high as 1.5A. The module is driven by a high efficiency switching IC LM2596 that generate much less heat than the 78xx series regular IC. The output is very stable. With a common ground, and up to 1.5 amp output current (heat sink is required for 1A or above), this would be ideal for being used as a solar power regulator.
