Am I missing something? I do not have a printer to hook it up to. A: No it opens with just the key, you have to turn it hard to the left. Q: Is there any software ? A: No there is no software for this drawer. THOUGH you can use specific ESC/POS commands. But if you are looking for something to pop the cash drawer, believe it or not, one of those $45 receipt printers like the one I bought and currently working inside a 30k plus product store would work. The receipt printer pops the drawer open. If you are needing a custom way to pop the drawer open, you can refer to any receipt printer cd's manual or Epson's TM series esc command codes. Not to sure WHAT epson one would work if it does period but any receipt printer that corresponds with the RJ12 jack would be ok. Q: IS this compatible with an Epson EVO RP1 ??
