Even if you don't need one right now, buy one and have a copy made. If you lose your only key, it can cost hundreds to have a new key generated from scratch, where having a copy made is usually only a few bucks plus the cost of the key. Even if your key takes a computer chip, you can still have a spare copy cut onto one of these for a door key.
