ManufactureLoctite Corporation Model Zeta 7100 Part Number 981040 Purpose of Equipment The system is a portable U.V. source designed for a wide range of applications involving the curing of Loctite U.V. photo-initiated adhesives and coatings. The unit is suitable for laboratory use or light production requirements where rapid cycling is not required. Theory of Operation The Zeta 7100 Ultraviolet Mini-Cure System is designed for the curing of Loctite ultraviolet adhesives and coatings. The part is placed on a vertically adjustable shelf in the cure chamber. The chamber accepts parts up to 2” high x 7” wide x 8 1/2 ” deep. A shutter mechanism remains closed whenever the chamber door is opened or a cycle is not in progress, shielding the U.V. light, to protect the operator from U.V. radiation when loading and unloading parts. When the door is closed and the cycle started, the shutter opens exposing the part to 400 watts of Ultraviolet energy from a 1.5 inch medium pressure mercury vapor lamp. Exposure time is set by a built-in digital timer. When the exposure cycle is complete, the shutter mechanism automatically closes.
