Longhin LO460 Digital Tube Tester Why use 1950’s technology to test your valuable tubes? We all love our old Hickoks and B&Ks but let’s face it, unless you stay on top of them with constant calibration and upgrade the leaky capacitors and drifting carbon comp resistors and the internal tubes (yes old tube amps use vacuum tubes to test vacuum tubes). You basically have a tube comparator. If you want to read the actual operating specs in real time at closer to real world voltages you really need a digital tube tester. I have used this occasionally over the past 3 years as I went from an amp repair tech to a custom amp builder.
