 I am offering for sale a vintage safety helmet from the former Jeannette Glass factory in Jeannette, Pa., which shut down in 1983 after 96 years of glass-making.  The front of this helmet, which is equipped with a clean and undamaged suspension, is adorned with a badge marked "Factory".  The badge has darkened with age, but the company's name and address are clearly marked around the outside edge.  The underside of the front brim is marked "McDonald T" and beneath that Hat-Standard + and Mine Safety Appliances Co. The helmet  is 12" front-to-back, 11" wide and about 7" high. Please check out its condition and cleanliness with the eBay zoom. I purchased this helmet at an antique sale less than 10 miles from the plant site.  That auction included JG molds, silk screens, tools and blueprints, among other glass items.
